MPS & BBI has recently supplied a series of short training videos for the Institute of Payroll Professionals (IPP) which can be viewed and downloaded for purchase from their Payroll Webcast at www.payrollprofession.org. The training seminars, given by Alison Ward of IPP, were originally presented on 4DVDs, each approximately one hour long. The objective was to produce the subject matter to match the average attention span for easy online viewing.

The project involved:

• Conversion of DVD originals from NTSC format (USA) to PAL format (European)
• Identifying topics averaging 5-7 minutes presentation time (the longest is 9 minutes)
• Creating 44 flash video files from the 4 DVDs, which retain the integrity and quality of the original production
• Designing and producing the application for accessing and purchasing the videos

Each video is accompanied by an introduction for free viewing. The training seminars deal with important subjects ranging from preparing a payroll operations manual to advice about fraud. They provide invaluable information to professionals while creating a revenue stream for the IPP.
