BBI has developed second app for Norbar Torque Tools as a free iPhone and Android download, designed to be an invaluable aid to engineering professionals, students and apprentices.

A truly international tool, the Norbar Torque Wrench Extension Calculator App has instructions in English, French, German and Spanish and has generated a significant level of interest. The design engineering publication DPA received nearly 600 unique visits in just two weeks from posting the new Norbar App story on its website dpaonthnet.net.

The Extension Calculator app calculates the value you need to set on a torque wrench to achieve the required level of torque, or turning pressure, applied to a fastener. The longer the wrench is extended, the greater the torque generated.

Late last year, Norbar launched a free Torque Conversion app on iPhone and Android Systems also developed by BBI.

This offers instant conversion across a full range of SI, Metric and Imperial Units and to date it has been downloaded 3,328 times.
